Richard's pass was a good look into the future for that platform. ... he definitely has the potential of holding the new record...

Do you mean he's going to beat his previous best? He is the "official record" holder of a specific category, right? Is that what you meant by "that platform"?

Richard, we from DDP would love to see your truck on our dyno. If you are ever in the Pacific Northwest, stop on by! We are in Monroe, WA. You're welcome anytime!

Bob his name is Travis, he is an old buddy of my new wife. Just a local guy out having the time of his life...

Pro Street, yes Rhonda. I didn't mean a personal record. The current DHRA Pro Street records (ET & MPH) are held by TS Performance.

Thanks Eric. I had gone to the DHRA web site to see who held what records, but couldn't really figure it out. I saw that Madsen was on there, but I didn't see his times or what class, when, etc. I thought than Nathan Wright was a record holder too... Is there an overview of the top trucks somewhere on that site (including ET's and mph), previous records, National as well as Divisional, etc?

Also, is there a handy reference for the definitions of the classes without having to download the entire rulebook?

Divisional Records? Damn Rhonda, that is a great idea! I have already made a note to include that for next year. I can't seem to bring up our website to look at how Neal has displayed our records so I can't help you there for now.

I will provide a quick handy reference for you, as we do plan on having one for next year! BTW, we are making huge changes for next year that we hope will be exciting and fun for everyone.

This year:

ET Handicapped racing (Street Diesel class)

Any power adders

Helmet at 13. 99 and faster (same as NHRA)

Drive shaft loops at 13. 00 or quicker (Same as NHRA)

Roll bar at 11. 99 (7. 49 1/8th) (same as NHRA) also good as quick as 10. 00 with unaltered floor pan and firewall.

SFI Safety gear for all vehicles running 4500 RPMs or more.

Pro Street-Heads up . 500 full tree

5500 lbs minimum- all motor, two turbo maximum

6200 lbs minimum- Nitrous one turbo maximum

same safety as above.

Modified class (Garmon and Smoke Stack Racing are the only ones so far)

3500 lb minimum.

Nitrous is okay.

Next year's changes will be announced in a month or so. If there is anything particular you are looking for, please ask or email me!

We tried that with the pulling rulebook, handy one page defining each class, refer to official rulebook for details, you know the drill.

The pullers instantly took that as, "eliminating" all the rules they wanted to break! Out of sight, out of mind I guess. :D

New class for TiM! Bentz may have the lightest diesel around.

Rhonda, I was looking at the "Hall of Champions" link on the DHRA website and only saw the current record holder on there. Apparently it has been updated.

Eric, analytically speaking, should the equation of Et = average kinetic energy translation of KEavgm = mass fuel of the particle u = average velocity of the particle from the third postulate formulated T = temperature in c = constant which has the same value for all gases. So, since the average Speed of Gas particles (find u) c = constant = R = gas constant, NA = Avogadro's # substituting for c mass times moles (NA) equals Molar Mass (MM) being individual gas particle's speed rms = root mean square, which is the average square root of the speed of the individual particles be a factor rather then the Vehicles weight or was this influenced by the particle infusion ? :)

SURGEON GENERAL’S WARNING: Smoking the Competition Greatly Reduces Serious Risks to Your Health.

Saw something like that on a T-shirt last night, being worn by a hot chick.....

Weight?

Yep, we are the lightest one out there. BUT, it is still amazing how fast you can gain weight in the car. We pulled 100 pounds from the car and it made no difference at all. The acceleration rate of the engine is the real limiting factor.

Fletcher, you're quick!

Seriously, when we ran the VP44, we had all kinds of issues with the engine not revving up in first gear, and after giving up on it, found out that there is a maximum "ramp rate" that the ECM and the Bosch electronics in the VP would take. It would stutter and stall, and then after shifting to 2nd and 3rd, would pull fine.

That is what drove us to the p pump.
