weekend trip to Coral pink Sandunes (pics)

had a great time at the Coral Pink sand Dunes down in southern Utah by Kanab... Oo.



The Color you see is the color of the dunes... . From the Red Rock of Utah These dunes have a very soft and very fine granular sand. Mushes in pretty good.



I have a Polaris Predator with ITP Paddles, I need the sand front tires for sure in these sands... . The other Quad is a Polaris Sportsman 500 4x4.

A very steep face of a Dune. you couldn't even crawl up it... I lowered the front sprocket on the chain to get more RPM's out of the whole range of gears.

The park has a campground that is just off the sand so you don't get dusted... I forgot to take a pic of our site but there are like 22 sites and a few of them are group sites with fire rings, grill stoves, showers/restrooms... You can drive the quads from the CG to the dunes so there is quiet hours at night and a walking/play Only (no quads) area for kids or just hiking around... . Wonderful place if you ever get out there sometime..... Reservations are recomended..... call 1-800-322-3770

Looks like you had a blast in the sand. Wish I could do some of that here in Iraq, with all this sand. Dang sand is every where. You can't run from it. :{
