Into Canada w/dog a problem?

does anyone know where a weight station is in south Orange County CA ? or how to locate one ?

In my quest for a new 5'er, I plan to take the rig I'm considering to a scale and see what it really weighs before my $$ is on the table. Luckily, the local dealer offered this to me with a couple days notice.

OR, any Moving and Storage company usually has a scale you can pay to use.

OR, try a Sand and Gravel outfit.

AND most Municipal Landfill or Transfer stations have scales too.

Prices will vary, shop around by phone for one you can afford. It's around $7-$10 at a truckstop.

thanks for the ideas guys. Since any of the CAT scales are at least 50 miles away, I will try to find a moving Co. or one of the local gravel quarrys.

Once again, good info.....

Check out a truck stop. The ones here in Eureka don't charge unless you want a certified weight. Park on it and go in to look at the display. Other truck stops may be the same way.

Also many road side CHP scales are on all the time. Pull into one that's closed and see if the display is on.

Call TravelLand, down near the 405/5 interchange, they used to have a portable scale setup at on of the service dealers there.
