weird. any ideas?

i was getting off the highway today and while slowing and turning i suddenly heard the trucks chime going. i went off i believe 4-6 times. i figured i would look down and see a service engine light or somthing but no. merging onto another road the truck kinda seemed to be lacking some power but it was hard to say. poppped the hood and all looks well, fluids fine, no odd noises, check for codes and their were none. anyone have any idea? i have fuel, egt, boost guages and all were normal. i have no programmers or anything like that. just a muffler delet pipe. happen to anyone else??

Well the first time the chime went off in mine it was because I had left the blinker on when mergeing lanes. After so long it will beep if you have not made a big enough turn to reset it.



The next time it was the lamp out coming on and off. If I was not looking directly at the right spot on the instrument cluster I would not have known and did not the first time.



Just a couple of times mine has had a sort of mysterious chime go off.

You dont happen to have a Brakesmart do you? They have a chime when they power down after an hour or so of no activity. Mine did it for about a month until I figured out what it was. Thought it was my truck!

The other day I went to unlock the doors with the factory keyless entry, and my windshield wipers came on:-laf No wiper switch left on, I guess it just wanted to clean the windsheild!:-laf

thanks for the reply guys. i think it was the blinker being left on chime. it was also said on another forum a few times and now that i think back merging in fast moving traffic and exiting the blinker was on for about 2 miles, so i assume it was that. the truck is running perfect and hasnt happend again. i guess the loss of power was in my head cause its all good. just when you hear those chimes you kinda go into the what the hell just happend mode, lol.
