weird power surge?

morning fellow members,i need to call upon you all again!

last night i was leaving a local fair in my state and i had a strange power surge after about 5 minutes of run time. i left the parking lot and idled out of the fair for about three minutes. then when i got on the main road(overdrive off)i drove for about two minutes at 45 mph when out of nowhere my truck got a big powersurge and jerked forword real hard. when this happned the truck became very loud. this only lasted for a second. the drive was an hour home and the truck ran great... ... any ideas?? i am running #2 home fuel in my rig(own a tobacco farm)i changed the filter about one month ago and lift pump 5000 miles ago. i have a fuel pressure guage but havn't installed it yet. i really dont think it is fuel related though. it was almost like the throttle went to the floor for a split second. WEIRD!!!!!sorry so long..... james... .

Not sure but you need to find out so we can get it turned on FULL TIME.

you temporarily lost one side of your map sensor signal.



check all the connections and maybe even grease them using dielectric grease.



I forget which side it is but the other side if lost will temporarily kill the engine.
