The first whiff from a new can of IMR 4350 gunpowder

The smell of a fresh pot of coffee, along with nature's most perfect food - BACON cooking

Hoppe's #9 is too "perfume like", it takes a real man to take the smell of Barnes CR-10!

Freshly cut firewood

And of course, Diesel exhaust on a cold morning!

I'll try to keep it weird and mention a few no one has said yet:

Tree pollen after a spring rain.

Pine tar, the kind that comes in jars for nautical use

Diesel fumes of course, but I also like the atomized raw diesel of an engine trying to start.

Castor oil fumes from either a model airplane engine or a WWI vintage aircraft.

Sawdust of almost any kind. PIne, oak, cherry, mahogany, butternut come to mind.

Varnish, laquer thinner, boat houses.

The smell of a tobacco shop... I can only imagine what a drying shed smells like

Low tide has been mentioned. . salt air, that and fresh caught seafood.

Fresh cut grass or even a hay field after a hot, sunny day.

Weirdest smell ever:

NOTHING ... Meaning take a breath when it's -37 degrees ambient air temp outside and your entire air passageway seems to frost over and you loose your sense of smell for that time being. Weird ... just weird.

Yes, smells will bring back memories like nothing else.

Cool thred.

Ozone, the first arc you strike in the morning. This is best had with the TIG process (IMHO).

But, ozone is second to the intoxicating aroma of a properly stimulated woman. I keep a beard to grab as much of this as I can.

You all did a very good job of covering the rest of the smells I like, save one.

Freshly cut flowers at 4:20.

"weed (Even tho i don't smoke it anymore )"

You're referring to burning weeds in the driveway with a torch, right?

Round-up is a good alternative... . :)

MTY :-laf

Permanent black magic marker

Fresh cut mild steel... (still red hot and smoking) either with a grinder/ chop saw or preferably cut with a torch.

Fresh ground coffee

Pack of cigarettes [just don't light 'em]

Take five tons of tobacco, [the bottom leaves are called trash] clean it over a screen , put it in bulk and it will heat to about 130 degrees. after it has cured in this manner if you are lucky enough to load it for the processor, I will garantee that it will cure any cold symptoms you may have and the smell of this steaming brew is fantastic. [My dad was a tobacco buyer]

The smell of a fresh washed and powdered baby [this can turn on ya pretty quick, though]
