Competition NHRDA . . . . ?'s

Competition South Eastern Iowa Truck pull

Well this is the new spot for all the Competition guys... ..... Oo. .

Thanks for creating a spot for the 'heated' exchanges!! I'm sure this new forum is gonna be active... ...

So what's the real reason on why the Edge Truck has not answered the challenge from Greg (Comp 461) ??

And who really does have the fastest diesel powered truck?

I've seen a pic with an old Chebbie pullin' the front wheels off the tarmac upon launch- I think it had an old Detroit motor in it? I think it was the fastest for quite some time... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

This is interesting , a few lurkers . who never contribute , and really don’t have anything better to do then purees our section , and complain , they must be the same ones that would like to pry my handgun out of my cold dead hands, because that is when they will get it.

Hi Dually , I know you will be a great contributor , where is Sleddy. Well I heard that my predictions were to the point in Indy , in that pulling motor, and drag racing motor are a totally different type of program , McFly had to hold on the line forever to spool those big pulling chargers ,and eventually boiled the fluid out of the lenco drive , oiling down the track. I hope Scott and Dustin lay down a good number , Wished I had got be up there , but I had plans to go to the north west . If my new pistons had of arrived a little earlier it would have helped . that and the fact that the fire station had needed me today , canceling my leave on Wednesday . I had though about putting another driver in , but not on a new tune up .

Heard Keatons truck made some good hits on the track , can’t wait till they get a little faster , and we can match race ,

Hey but what happened to my origonal post #4? Surely 1 wrongfully chosen adjective doesn't eliminate the post entirely? or does it??

You must have deleted it when you made your edit because I saw your post there last night when I got home.

I have already put up, it’s called a record, I didn’t get to make the race, big deal, it was not like it was a National event. I still have the fastest diesel truck. No questions. And as to all these people that thought it would be so easy to come out and run as fast as I did, if they only had the chassis, well one of the greats in the diesel pulling world, come out with a well prepared truck and they rotated the earth with that great pulling power, trouble is the score boards didn’t reflect it. The truck looks to be a good piece, with a top puller engine builder as a backer. Come on sleddie what happen, the other top puller engine guru found out that you can’t cross over, either, with out changing every thing in the tune up, the time it takes to spool up, the tree has already dropped, and you’re late, On top of the fact that the Trans fluid can only absorb so much and it done.

Sure gargantuan turbo’s make big power, but if they will not operate with in the parameters of the sport, they what good is it. No NHRA track or real drag race will have a slow tree, and give you the time to spool, if the you can’t race it, what it for is.

Oh! I musta been worried about ticking off Robin with my adjective... ... .
Sorry again... ... . :{

Nothing but CRICKETS from the Diesel Dynamics/Edge Wolvorine camp... ... ... ... ...

And Greg do you hear them too? They're starting to come from your camp too... ... ... ... ... ...

If I had to opportunity to shoe someone elses ride like that- I'd be on that sucka every chance I could get!! Your qwickest run is losing thunder when your not backing it up... ... ... ... .....

If in fact it is a record was this run backed up with an equally fast run???

What is a record anyway? Its just something that was observed... . Just because a man has the title worlds fastest or strongest man doesn't make him such because I'm sure there is a Kenyan that is faster or a Russian who can pull a stump out of the ground, they just haven't been recorded as doing such. I hope you see my point on this worlds fastest diesel nonsense, chances are someone has topped the time, it just wasn't "recorded". Whose to say my truck hasn't clipped that time, maybe I dont like to brag. Just my two cents.

Greg, go here http://www.supermotors.org/users/DHRACEO and watch the MOV titled burnout. I think it was 7 seconds to light the turbo's. 8. 80's on a partial run in heat IMO is sweet.

To be the undisputed quickest/fastest you have to compete with everyone else. Kinda the point of a big event like IRP/Muncie. But I do know Keating's ride was pumping serious HP down the track too. Shame you didn't show up to run the big guys... of course you might have needed to change your signature had you shown up. :-laf
