Competition NHRDA . . . . ?'s

Competition South Eastern Iowa Truck pull

All I know is, the biggest names in Diesel dragracing showed up at the biggest event for diesels, and went down the track, without any mouth.

My hat is off to all of them.

You can't hide behind that 9 second record forever COMP.

Hey, I was impressed with both Scheid /McBride and the Keating ride. Everyone made a good showing in their own way. We kept at it, but we could not find our backside with a map. We were so lost on the tuneup, we (I) made some stupid mistakes. Real stupid. Back to the basics.

I was hoping for a black unidentified trailer to show up with the Edge truck, the Powerstroke dragster, a Duramax pro stock truck from Banks, and Santa Claus. All of my favorite mythical creatures.

Hey, we know that they are all out there, they just need to show up and have fun. Soon, I hope.

Depends on you defininiton of "Truck" on who has the fastest.

Is a "TRUCK" something that looks like a truck ie fiberglass race cap on a drag frame?

Or is it a TRUCK that has a stock body running a production motor in the stock frame?

I think a white truck i the NW has the best time so far with a production 2wd truck.

But im way out of the loop, and only believe time slips that I have seen,

What is the fastest time for a production truck running the stock block production motor that is FULLY Street leagal and licenced?

and no a Nissan running a 8v-92 with 4 turbos does not count.

10. 11?

Can you EVER stand on your own and try to defend yourself and NOT drag others that do not belong into this? These people are once again wasting there time on you, nobody has mentioned any other names but yours. Stand on your own for a change.

Well it looks like someone did some housekeeping(editing) on the main Comp forum.
There was an exchange there that can't be found... ...

Comp- You knew this was gonna happen by not showing up anywhere:rolleyes:
Now don't be dragging other people's names into your mess... ... ... ...

Even had ol Preston fired up there for a few... ... :-laf

Gene- yet another killer quote from you... . :-laf :-laf :-laf

Easy Comp. not picking on you or anyone.

Its just not fair to compare race trucks/rail cars to street trucks.

Just like the different classes for cars there will be the same for trucks when this gets a little bigger. When and where are you racing nexts?

What is the fastest time for a street leagal truck? With or with out Drugs?

Has it been backed up with a real time slip or ?

Keating's truck is a full size Chevy 1500 extended cab (note for hardcore Dodge owners -the unit was bought, not built - we all own Rams for daily racers, errrr... drivers). Steel cab and bed... hood is glass.

Can we get the truck into the 8's? Sure! Considering our best 1/8 mile last year was a 6. 20 and we have carved that down to a 5. 60 in less than 1/2 season, getting into the 8's this year in the 1/4 mile is an obtainable goal.

Sure wish the motorcycle BBS I frequent had a spell check on it... . this rocks! Oo.

5. 60 in less than 1/2 season? so If my math is correct, that would put you at around 5 flat by November... ..... Wonder if that texas truck will wanna line his 5. 24 up in Houston..... HMMMMMMM

What year of truck is it? What mods does the frame have?

Sounds Cool.

It's actually an NHRA certified full tube chassis that was designed and run with a Pro-Mod motor originally.

I will refer you to the NHRA Pro Stock Truck and Pro Stock rules, it must have factory steel with the exception to the front end, and door, so if you can't tell the difference in steel and plastic, you aren’t much of a hot rodders. There is not one piece of plastic on the truck any way its called carbon fiber. And what pray tell is your motivation for telling untruths, anyone knows, or could easily find out what a NHRA legal PST is constructed of, its common knowledge among racing people. You seem to want to down play a well constructed race chassis as something to be looked down on, and ashamed of, others in this diesel industry have started from scratch, and had unlimited money, so if they are heaver then that is their decision to not do it right, I have always been weight conscious, weight is speed.

Out side of the diesel world, the only two thing matter, the number on the score board, and corporate citizenship and that is why something great for the diesel movement are about to happen. Whether you like it or not in the main stream world, names like mine, Scott and Dustin will be pushing the public awareness of the potential of the diesel, and Americas renewable energy source. Not because of what you are a few others think about me of my truck, but what the potential sponsorship check writer thinks about the positive public image you bring and the awareness you illuminate on their cause or product . And I am very good at that part.

So I conclude you are either lying about seeing the truck, or to ignorant to know the difference between plastic or steel which is it

I worked for the shop that the truck was at in pieces for months, i had to push it in and out of the shop when we needed the space to pull trannies and whatnot. I am not going to argue, it's not worth getting into a ******* contest over what the dang truck is built out of... but what i can tell you,is there would be less "Anti-COMP" posts if you quit going to these piddly podunk races OR to "all-gasser" races and claiming the "World's Fastest" BS . . and play with your own kind. You need to pull your head out of the Gas Gutter... it is a diesel remember? I know you have it in you, the competitive spirit is great, put it to better use Greg :p

Me, me, me, me, I, I, I, I, :-laf You know COMP I was talking with someone at IRP that I would say has the potential to write large sponsorship checks, (won't mention any names at this time) and your name came up,(yep you are famous) and his words were "He is way too self centered, and on a serious ego trip, and we would not want someone like that representing our company" I can't imagine why he would say something like that. ;) Does your race team consist of Me, Myself, and I? :-laf
