The TDR discount price was less than $500 last I checked. They are really sweet looking wheels.

To those that have the kore wheels on toyos - what do you do about a spare?

Task if you want Weld wheels I have a nice set of 5 18x8. 5" Weld Typhoons in my garage I'll sell you for that price. They are true directionals, 3 are directional one way, 2 the other way, so you can have them all spinning 'forward' or 'backwards' on each side of the vehicle.

Vaughn

Thanks for the offer,But I like the classic style or ssII w holes,Trying to figure what rim would fit or look better.

Kore wheels are 575. 00 and 500. 00 to TDR members

Buy 5 and do full rotation as I did. I know it is a lot of money, but, if you have a limited slip rear end and you get a flat on the rear, you will have to put the standard spare on the front and move a Toyo to the rear or you risk burning up the rear. I have a 4X4 and when I am out in the middle of no where I don't want anymore problems than a flat. Again, I know it is alot more money, but I am hoping to get a little better mileage out of the tires by doing 5 tire rotations. Just a suggestion.

If you can afford it, I think this is excellent advice.

I can afford it, and thought about getting a 5th. The problem is that I dont think a 35" tire on that rim will actually fit in the spare tire well. How do you have it stored BigThicket? I dont want it in there cockeyed, jury-rigged, or bumping the diff.

I didn't realize it would damage the diff though. I do have a lsd. Great info.

All this aside, didn't Kent just do 1000 miles in Baja on these Toyos with no flats? Think my suburban roads will pop one? :)

LightmanE300, I put the spare in the bed for now. It will not fit under the truck. Sage Carli of Carli Suspension is starting to make truck products and has a great light bar out now. I just put one on my truck and 3 Hella lights. His brand name will be Defiant Truck Products and he is partners with Paul Fox of Orange Muffler (they share shop Space) Sage and Paul are working with Tim Sanchez(sic) the "Desert Bull" on a bed mounted light bar (can't call it a roll bar for liability reasons) that will accommodate a spare tire mount for the Toyo on Welds.

Why would anyone in the world put 18" wheels on a CTD. Sounds like a joke to me. Those 18 inch wheels are for Los angeles county dorks. Too large, more problems with being out of alignment and bending with hard off roading. Tires are more expensive and they look retarted.

and people running 19. 5's must all be super retarded by your logic then eh... ? wheel diameter has no effect on alignment... and as for looking retarded, that's to personal opinon [and as the saying goes, "opinions are like arse holes, everyone's got them and both of mine/yours are full of scheissen"

Thats why I ran 16's welds on mine for those reasons

nothing smaller than a 17" fits the 3rd gen trucks being they have large brakes, and even some 17" don't fit... so if a 17" wheel that the style you like isn't going to fit, then 18" would be the logical choice then... but i think 20" would be a better choice, as there are more tire selections avalable in 20" over 18". . if you want to stick with the old style of 15/16/16. 5 wheels feel free to do so...

Just to p*** you off. :-laf

that was my first thought when i read the post the first time :-laf:-laf

No, 19. 5 is different. That is a commercial truck tire size and that makes a lot of sense on a truck. However, downside to that size is there is not as many offroad tires as other sizes. Dodge uses 17 inch stock so why wouldnt 17's fit eh? Backspacing? Anyways, I think anything over 18 is totally rediculous and belongs in Caliberalfornia. :-laf Kind of like drive by wire. Those larger 20+ rims are much more prone to breaking if put under serious use. The tires also have a small sidewall and ride is affected, and sidewall is weaker...

Damn it can't use a good ol'e 16 inch rim eh, another plus to add to the list for owning a second gen ;)

I don't see why you think 18" is so "bling bling" and useless on a truck. It's only 1/2" difference from the center of the hub compared to a 17" wheel. I bet it would be hard to tell a truck with 18's vs. 17's from a distance. The reason I'm going with 18's is that Toyo makes a great M/T tire in a load range E for an 18" wheel. I think they're coming out with a 17" soon too.

Actually you have to admit this 20" All Terrain rated to 3750 lbs could be a nice compromise for someone wanting a little more load capacity without going to a G rated medium duty 19. 5

No its they way some are manufactured, the brakes are so big you can't even fit a pencil between the rear caliper and OE wheel. Some aftermarket 17's out there rub the caliper on the 3rd gens but fit fine on the older Dodges.
