I've been looking around for online welding supplies. Mostly for TIG filler rods, tungstens, TIG torch parts, gloves, protective gear, etc. The local supply houses seem to be reasonable as far as the torch parts, but when it comes to filler rods and tungstens  Just an example... . I got a pack of 10 3/32" pure tungstens at the local place... ... cost was $45. I can find em online for less than $10 for the same pack of 10 tungstens. I'm a bit concerned about quality though. Is it common for these places to sell poor quality stuff? Like if I order some ER70-S2 or ER5356 is it going to be some kind of no-name junk that will make a mess of things? Just trying to decide if I should try out one of these places or not. So far the ones with the best prices I've found are www.weldingsupply.com and www.weldingdepot.com

I just bought a new helmet and some torch parts from weldingsupply.com. I had ordered some tungstens but they were holding the other stuff up so I cancelled them. It would be nice to know what brand they were, but for the price I was going to try. I had bought a pack of 1/8" pure at my local place and looked at the bill to see $55, ouch. That's when I went looking. They seem to be a good place to deal with though. A couple others to try are http://www.ramweldingsupply.com/ and http://www.tigdepot.com/ for just TIG stuff. Good luck, Brian
