Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Weldon Pumps

Anybody tried a weldon pump for a lift pump yet. These aren't the cheesy automotive electric pumps. They are aircraft pumps designed to pump jet fuel which isn't that much different than diesel.

They look a lil pricey..... But I just emailed them for where to get a price on the "JL" Style pumps... . I'll post when I get back where to get the prices from... .

Definitely pricey. I was really impressed with the quality though. I just used one of the K-9200's to build a manual transmission cooler and filter setup for a friend of mine. It really was a nice looking unit. We will see how it lasts.

My brother just got a 2001 and wanted me to get him some gauges on it and relocate the lift pump and I was just looking for the best thing to put on there since he racks up so many miles.

I wonder why they put a psi rating on some, in their lineup, but not on all of them?

i have a friend running one in his 8L GM gasser(whipple blower fed by what could be compared to a B2 turbo)



he couldnt find a comparative reliable pump from the auto suppliers to run at the pressures and rates he needed. Spent some serious coin, but the pump is amazing, not to mention the adjustable controll system for it.



hes driving a 3rd gen for work, maybe he will see this post and elaborate

I can't find any prices on the JL but the ones that I have found on other models have been anywhere from $500-750 for an exchange. And up to or over $1000 for used, no exchange... .
