The Canadians have a real gripe. We pay less for their fuel than they do. $3. 49 in San Diego. $3. 17 for mandatory ethanol- blended gas here.

If fuel goes up to over $4. 00/gallon this year, there's going to be hell to pay in Washington. Unlike in 2008, I think that the majority of Americans now understand that it is government policy that is making our fuel supply scarce. Blaming oil company gouging will no longer play. This will be another test of the resolve of the Republicans to stand against Obamao.

In the meantime, I'm trying to think of a way to put a natural-gas dual-fuel system on my truck.

From the reports I've seen, there is nearly 10 times the oil of Saudi Arabia in the shale areas of the U. S. I believe primarily in Utah, Wyoming, Colorado areas.

Life must really be a challenge for a guy with as little understanding of the world he lives in as this guy. He is so totally confused by labor union propaganda he probably won't allow his wife to buy groceries for fear the grocer will earn a profit. A sad case.

How in the hell do you think this great country was built? We have the best of medical, food, housing and everything else you can think of because of the free market. You've probably heard this all before, but us old geezers remember when diesel was 19 cents and gas was 29 cents per gal. When it went to 23 and 35 everybody forecasted doom & gloom. All that really happened was an increase in the price of hay and shoe leather. All of you out there who have ever been union or if not, have ever asked for a pay raise and gotten it have contributed to the current situation. As costs go up, so do prices and profits. Will it ever end? probably not and in a way i hope not. If it does, it means a stagnant economy and that is not good for anyone. Remember you can always buy a horse..... better buy a shovel too... . .

I can remember when it was $0. 15 diesel & $0. 25 gas & you are right we screamed bloody murder when it went up.

Back in my high school days, I was a gas pump jockey. I can remember pumping it for 16 cents per gallon, washing the windshield and giving them trading stamps to boot. Diesel was less than that and you had to go to the truck stops to get it.
