Badges?.......I don't need no stinkin' badges!

Guys,

I debadged my truck and I think it looks really clean... ..... Almost sterile... ... ... :D I like the stealth look... ... ... . I operate on a need to know basis... ..... Black Sport... ... Debadged... ..... tinted windows... ... ..... subtle as a ball pein hammer between the eyes.

This truck looks like the MIB's are coming... .....

Use a heat gun and some fishin' line to work the door badges off... ... ... use WD-40 on a terry cloth towel to remove the residue... ... . be careful not to get WD-40 on your bodyside moulding or that'll be comin' off too... ... ... the vinyl DODGE and 4X4 on tailgate... ... ... . warm up with heat gun or park in the sun to warm it up... ... ... . peel it off... ..... NO RAZOR BLADES... ..... I'll smell it and I'll mysteriously appear in your driveway and beat you senseless for vehicular abuse... ... ... .

:D

clean up the same as door badges... ... ... ... . Viola... ..... you're done

I have a 12V but I powder coated the valve covers red as well as the intercooler tubes, long ago took the dealer and Dodge decals off the tailgate and took the 3500 badges adn SLT off of the cab. Anyone figure out how to get rid of the Ram's head on the chrome grill?

My truck had failing (cracking paint) on the cab roof and Dodge repainted it from the molding up. They did not re-detail the black on the B-Pillar which is now red. It looks better (IMHO) with this red B-pillar and the tinted windows than it did with OE Black paint.

Go Ahead, debadge away. DC isn't go to do anything for you anyways.

I de-badged mine when it was new. I added the same body side molding that is ahead of rear wheels to the area behind the rear wheels. I also added 4x4 rear fender liners & o. e. m. 4x4 mud guards at all 4 wheels. Before & after pictures show that I improved an already good looking truck. When I upgraded to 265 series tires it added a whole new spectrum to my trucks appearance. :--)

What year on the sport models were the "DODGE" and "4X4" tailgate decals outlined letters and not solid letters? (think it's maybe 2000... ... . they had the "sport" decal on the hood above the fenders and the RAM 2500 or 3500 badges where replaced with decals also) Did they offer the outlined letter decals in black lettering? I'm thinking I would like to replace the solid black lettered decals on my silver 2002 sport with the outlined lettered decals instead if I can find them in black. Hope this makes sense.

Best way to De-Gadge?

What is the best way to debadge those 4x4 sticker and such that they put on at the factory ? I have had the truck 2 years now is it too late to try and take them off ?

Heat them up with a hair dryer and they should peel right off.

Mine was a 2001. Unfortunately mine were silver..... wouldn't do you much good. :D

Debadged mine last night. The tail gate stickers were easy. The door badges on an SLT were a pain. All the black adhesive stayed on the truck. Took several hours to get it cleaned up. In the end, it all came off without damage to the truck.

Badges etc.

I guess I have a "semi-sport Power Wagon" My truck is a 1997, and about 18 months ago I had the chrome grill painted to match the body (blue), but it has the chrome bumpers, added the stainless "Power Wagon" emblems to the hood, and took the 2500/Cummins emblems off the doors. I often get asked if it is in fact a Power Wagon, etc Although tempted to give some BS amswer, I tell them what it is (and isn't)

Power Wagon!

I'm with you there Mopar Man..... mine was wearing the Power Wagon badges within 3 hours of my picking it up from the dealer! Not counting the dealership personnel, there were only 6 people including myself that have ever seen it without them..... mine blend in somewhat against the Bright Silver paint but I still get asked quite often about them. Most are along the same lines as you-"When did they start making Power Wagons again?" I could have worked up a big story I suppose-but I tell the truth as to their origin.....

I have the factory fender emblem off the '77--80 trucks on the tailgate of mine as well to complete the look. If I couldn't have laid hands on the Geno's emblems I may have just used a pair of these on the doors as well in place of the 2500/Cummins badging-as it is now I pulled those and replaced them with Cummins ISB badging.

hehe, good point. My truck is not a rolling advertisement for anyone. I have only one sticker on my truck it is on the tailgate, and it says
