Well I did it, it's all you fault.

That's right I did it. I traded in the 2001 reg cab 8 foot bed on a 05 SLT quad cab 8 foot bed. I went with an auto this time. I got what they call the Thunder Road Edition.

Its a sweet truck so far. I would love to tell you guys more but I have been up for the last 21 hours, and I would like to get at least 20 minutes of sleep before I got to go to work.

I will have more details and some questions for you tomorrow.

Congrats on the truck. Thunder Road is a nice package. We have the Lone Star package (very similar to the Thunder Road). Will have 12,000 miles on the truck by the end of this trip. As each day passes we like the truck more and more. Which is good coming from a Ford/Chevy man. No flames guys, I have been converted. Love this Cummins.

DHortonthat sounds like a nice package you got on your truck. When you got yours did it come with the tow package? Mine did and the question I have is did you get a big 7 pin pig tail connector that also allows you to plug it in at the hitch and than plug a 4 or 5 pin flat connector in to it? All I got with this truck is a little blue adapter. My 01 had the 7 pin that converted to a flat. I hope that they just forgot to put in or give it to me. As soon as I get a chance I will post some pics or at least try to. Not very good at the picture thingy.

my truck has the 4 pin harness tucked up under the bumper so the adapter is not necessary
