06 ram 2500
Washer fluid light always on
Sensor..REPLACED IT WITH MOPAR SENSOR
fluid..tried em all
Sensor, tried to bypass by connecting 2 Probes together
Tried sensor in all positions, lock tab up, down, to the sides
Tried connecting plug connections to ground and positive

ANY SUGGESTIONS??
Before i go into hulk smash mode..lol

ARGH!!! If you connected the leads to pos you may have fried that specific driver in the puter. You dont want to apply 12V to all the circuits in modern vehicles. There are lots of things that work at MUCH lower logic levels, not sure what that sensor works at but you get the picture.
Now, feel suitably scolded?
Before you did that, you had an open in one of the wires. Hopefully it was the high side and you didn't hurt it.
Look for the break in the circuit. Maybe a bad connector or damaged wire going to the sensor.

I tried looping the connections together first..so i doubt i even have a good connection in the wiring..prob a bad wire somewhere.. i wasnt even getting any power from any of the two leads on the connector

Looks like a simple normally open switch, EXCEPT, it goes to the TIPM.......

I would think if you unplug it the light should go out, UNLESS, you have TIPM trouble......

Damn! If it's one thing I hate is that aggravating TIPM. I'd hate to count up the hours I've spent building harnesses and adding relays to get around it.

The TIPM that started in 2006 and later trucks is one of the primary reasons I bought a 2005 HO CTD truck instead of the 2006!!!

Found a break in wire right at tve plug (where it goes into the sensor) gonna try and sodder a new wire to it..both wires are currently just cut and i still get light

Mopar Repair Kit is an option......Circuit numbers match BigPapa's schematic above even though it uses a White/Tan instead of the Violet/Tan..

Yeah, but then you would NEVER know if you were out of wiper fluid!!!...LOL!!!! I never understood why they have that sensor anyway!!!

Update..
Put the 2 wires together..no luck
Checked wires with voltage meter..no voltage
Traced wires to the TIPM..appeared good.. pulled out where it plugs into TIPM appeared clean and prongs looked good..
Guess tomorrow ill check if there us any voltage coming out of where it plugs into TIPM..
CHECKED fuses, even though i was sure that wasnt the problem
Also, hooked up my scan tool.. no stored codes

Answer: forcing the ecm and various other control modules into a "hard reset" to factory parameters by disconnecting the batteries for about 15 to 30 minutes CAN resolves some software issues even on a 2006 truck. At the very least, there is nothing to lose by the effort. except perhaps your radio station presets. Obviously be sure to disconnect the grounds at BOTH batteries.
