First off, I'm a returning member. I let my membership lapse for a year or so but have just rejoined. Anyhow, I stopped by my trusted dealer today and commited to buy a new '05 dually. (I have a real nice '99 for sale if anybody's interested, with or without bombs!)

My questions are, will my new BHAF fit the '05? How about my fuel presure gauge set up, is there still a place to hook up the senders like on my '99?

Do the 3rd gen. still have the track bar problem? What power mods. are available? Like I said, I have been "out of the loop" for over a year and didn't keep up with the 3rd. generation threads so I'm sure all these questions have been asked and answered many times.

Thanks,

George

Still waiting for my 2005 but I will chime in and tell you what I know...

Don't know about the BHAF.

Some say a FP gauge is not as necessary on the new 2005 with the pump in the tank. I will install one anyway, as it isn't that difficult and I like all the information I can get. The sender can be mounted where the fuel line enters the CP3 (pump) from the filter. You have to get a tapped banjo bolt (see Geno's) I recommend that you mount the sender off the CP3 using an extension hose (have it made up, or get one from Geno's).

There have been some issues with driveline (?) vibrations but most 2005 owners have not had this problem. Test drive your 2005 at speeds up to about 80mph to see if you have this problem before signing. Don't think the track bar has been a problem on the 2005's.

Do a search on the 3rd Gen forum and you will see a wealth of knowledge mixed with some opinions... Good luck... ;)
