CART is alive and well, without Penske, Unser, or the Indy 500.

This is a road course at the old airport, and they were hitting 210+MPH in front of our seats. That stretch was maybe a 1/4 mile long.

It is too bad Tony George is such a jerk, because I would love to go back to Indy and watch the Pros drive.

Down with IRL!!

Be nice to see CART run at Daytona. Oo.

In my childhood days we used to attend the air shows at that old airport :)

It brought back alot of memories seeing it on the tube today.

Nice show

Glad you had a good time.

I was a CART fan until they stood me up at TMS last year. CART cancelled the race 2 hours before the green flag. Unforgivable in my opinion. Cart made an IRL fan outta me.

I wish TG and CART could resolve their differences and just race.

Yea, that was weird, but must have been pretty serious to cancel a show like that, wouldn't you agree?

I did not understand why they just didn't make a gear change and drop the MPH 20 or so.

last week[i think?] i went by the toronto indy. didn't have tickets, but there are a few places around the track [end of thunder alley] where you can see for free. . completely different to see them in persion. now, if i could see F1 in persion, that would be way  . the indy f1 race could be fun to go see, but i am going to maybe try to get tickets to next years montreal race. . !

That's my beef with them. I was at practice Thursday, qualifying Friday, and practice Sat. ( I LOVE that turbo whine:D ) Was completely pumped about the race on Sunday. Loaded up the GF and son in the CTD and headed for the track all grins, only to be told in the parking lot the race was cancelled. I heard the reason (Gs), and safety at those speeds is paramount, but they had seen those speeds since Thursday, and at several test sessions b4 that. I could remember driver comments from earlier in the year complaining about high banked ovals. I don't think the drivers wanted to race at TMS.

Forgive the rant. I'm all worked up again. For the record, the IRL does the same track twice a year at 220 mph with no blackouts. The 'World came to TMS' and chickened out. In June there were 80K+ on the grandstands for the last IRL race at TMS. The IRL must be doing something right. So please, let's not 'down' the IRL. When they schedule a race, they race. I'd love to see CART race at Texas, but that aain't gonna happen. I'd pay to see them both. Can't get enough racing:cool:
