I'm with you guys. I'm having fun modding this thing. But it's getting old quick. I've tried to build reliability into her and think I've done a pretty good job. I don't get crazy when I tow. And 90% of the time it's just driven normally. But the power is there when I want it. Which is fun. But I to look back and think what the heck am I doing to a perfectly good truck. Comes down to more money then brains I guess. And because I don't have a lot of money, I guess I have even fewer brain cells. LOL

As for the pay to play... . that's on my license plate... PAY2PLY

Fitting isn't it?

Now I'm ready to get rid of it. I'm not enjoying the demeanor of my truck any more, and I'm really tired of shifting. I don't race, I don't sled pull, and I never even turn the boxes up over about 1/2 way.

I'm thinking of ordering an '06 3500 QC 4x4 Laramie and taking advantage of the 0% financing. As long as you place an order for the truck before the promo expires, it's valid when you take delivery (about 6 to 8 weeks).

So, here's my idea:

1- Take out the SPS66, ATS manifold, Banks Technicooler, TST, MP-8, gauges, A-pillar, etc. Keep the wheels/tires.

2-Leave the AFE, exhaust, FASS and clutch in. Include stock wheels w/285's.

3-Install a used Juice/Attitude for the next guy. Gotta have something in there to justify the clutch, eh?

What do you think?

Boy I know exactly how you feel. My truck was having a few issues about 3 months ago. 2 injectors went bad, and the truck on the high hp setting was close to un-drivable - the fuelpump crapped out, and few other thing that were unrelated to each other.

BUT as crazy as it sounds, The injectors/CP3 I just installed has made my truck a dream to drive. No surging, no touchy throttle, etc (new motor on the pump with different deisgn, and now I use PowerService in everytank to combat injector failure)

I dont mean to sound corny, but it really drives like a new truck - for the first time in a while...

My buddy is interested in a new Dodge and was told by our local dealer that the 0% is only good if you take delivery by the 31st and does not apply to orders

most dealers dont know that special financing is "sold order protected"

I assure you it is, Unless mentioned on the rebate detail sheet

I just called Dodge through their online system and the rep told me that each dealer can do whatever they want re: the 0%: if they want to honor it for ordered trucks they can; if they don't want to they don't have to.

If I could do it all over again, I'd opt back for the automatic. I'm not to happy with my DD clutch, its a pain to shift quickly, and getting it into 2nd at a light is a chore. Not to mention the noise. Fluidamper did sqat other than lighten my wallet.

Id go with the 62 sps next time, stock air box and maybe the edge, gut the cat, and thats it (well maybe a ATS auto). Okay, that's all now. Nothing else.

Pretty much sums up my sentiments. I went too far. The next truck will get only one box, a mild turbo and a suspension.

I'd like to sledpull, but I bought the wrong DD clutch. No sledpulling with organic friction material. My bad.

I agree, my DD is not what I expected it to be, especially after all the hype from the manufacturer. Slow to shift, noisy, and shudder city.

Give me a single disc, smooth shifting clutch ..... wait, I think I want an automatic...

A sidebar about the 0%. We were in that position last month trying to locate the truck with the options we wanted not knowing if 0% would still be around March 1st. Anyway we were at the point of ordering one thinking that we would still get the 0%. You may want to verify this as one dealer stated it would lock the 0% and another dealer warned us that ordering only locks any "rebates" being offered by Dodge at that time and does not confirm 0% will still be available when truck arrives. I believe you also have to pay a non-refundable deposit to order a truck. Since we got two different answers in our quest you may want to inquire about this more before assuming 0% is the case if that incentive is no longer available when truck comes in. Fortunately, we finally located our truck with the options we were looking for so we did not have to order one.

You cant forget a nice set of injectors to smooth it out

I feel your pain. When your truck becomes work to drive and you have to monitor every little function it becomes a bit wearing.

A new 2500 megacab with an auto would sure make things nice:) But then again... I know I'd go over board:(

I was told by my dealer I am locked in. Thats all I needed to here

Should I expect KBB good condition price, equipped like this:

'03 Laramie w/ 41k miles

Juice/Attitude

FASS

Kore Chase suspension

SBC Street DD

AFE stage I

Banks turbo-back exhaust

BFG 285's with about 10k miles on them

What do you think?

Is the intent removing the TST, Banks, ATS etc. . to hide the fact that they were there for the next buyer, or to re-use on your new truck? I think it wise to give full disclosure to any new buyer as to where the truck has been.

Just my 2cents

Good luck

Why not

So, what you guys with the double disk clutches are saying is that it becomes annoying/disappointing to drive? I have a 3600 12cb DD from SouthBend that is sitting in my shop waiting to be put in. I have a con ofe in my truck now, but it won't hold a launch. I'm not sure I want to put in the DD if it is going to kill my shift time... ..... and I've considered the automatic route for some time now. I just end up talking myself out of it since so many change from auto to manual instead of the other way around. Since my 3600 12cb DD is new, and I also have a brand new 1-3/8" input, I could sell them and put that towards an auto conversion, but I really do like my manual the way it is right now, other than not holding occasionally.

It is amazing to me how something that is irritating on a truck can affect the way you feel about it in general. I had a slave cylinder that was going bad and made every little problem with the truck magnified. I replaced the whole assy. with a new one from Peter and now I love my truck.

What do you guys recommend... ..... put in the DD or convert to auto? I believe I could do the full built auto conversion for $6500.
