Were can I buy a fuel pump beside a local auto parts and the dealer? Are there different models. My truck is a 2000 dodge 2500.

If it is a Lift pump you need there are a few options, I am on my 4th one so I have been through this Car Quest has them made my AirTech for $187. 35 which a little more exspensive than if you was to buy from say a Freightliner dealer which comes in a cummins box for about $127. which is still cheaper than one from chrysler at about $300, however Car Quest pumps come with a lifetime warranty(ask though because some car-quest warranty differs from others). If a vp-44 pump is what you need most fuel injection places have them rebuilt with exchange for around a grand give or take. Good luck

Stop wasting your hard earned $$$ on POS stock pumps

MHO - see GFS-392 link in my signature - Call and talk to Rich. There are other options out there - I chose Glacier after much homework on other "options".

Like I mentioned there are several options out there. Do your homework and choose what fits your need best. The one Pat refers to from BD is at the most $270 according to the PDF price list depending on year truck etc.

FYI - I relocated my stock Carter pump back by the frame and it didn't last any longer than the other 4 that I replaced in less than 75,000 miles. So don't do what I did = spend whatever the least expensive POS Carter (in my opinion) pump costs multiplied by how many you have to replace (in my case 5) until you decide to get a "quality" system in place - once and be done with it.

Have fun!

Ditto, the Glacier GFS-392 is a good setup, easy to install (I did have access to a lift, which makes things easier), and Rich is very helpful. Can't go wrong with the 392.

I relocated the lp and put all 8-n lines to the vp. It helped a little, 2-3 lbs,got a whappin 10-11lbs. This was LP #4(stock carter)

The glacier pump is here and will be in my truck this weekend... .
