West bound and down

Well vacation time is finally here. We're loading up in about 30 minutes and heading for beauiful Salida Colorado for a week of four wheeling. The Dodge is pulling 2 CJs out, and a second gen going with us is pulling his brother's TJ. Hopefully nothing will break too bad. I'll try and post some pics when I get back next Friday. Wish me luck!!

Man, I envy you so much. Not that I just like Colo, but my tags are white with green mountains across the top. (for those of you in the swamp, that is Colorado- no sane person from there ever visits here, so you may not know). I would ask if you need another driver, but it's only a day's drive from Manhattan. Enjoy the trip, dont break anything too bad- I wont be able to help you out of it.

I'm baaaack! Truck pulled the 2 jeeps like a dream, that thing is obscenely powerful! On the way back, the clutch died on the second gen that was pulling the third jeep, so I ended up pulling that back from Flagler Co, to Manhappiness, with a jeep drafting off me like a MF!!! Although I do believe that I mortally wounded the getrag on the way out. I was pulling in 5th running about 80, it popped violently out of gear twice, stuck to fourth after that and no more problems. I'll try 5th again tomorrow, once I drop the trailer off. A pretty good trip, the kind of vacation that makes you glad its over.
