I have another question for the 1st gen club. Where can I find stock or good after market west coast mirrors to fit my 1992 W-250? I just bought a rather long GN flatbed (38' deck) to be exact and the stock mirrors just don't let you see everything. If someone wants to trade power mirrors (wiring and all) for the west coast mirrors, let me know. Any help is appreciated.

Don't have any Westcoast mirrors but would be interested in purchaing some for you in trade for your power mirrors, I need a passenger side one and would like to either buy them from you or buy you some big mirrors in trade.

You should be able to find some nice mirrors at a truck supply house, even some truckstops have them.

Let me know,

Caleb

Mirrors

Case500D, I've been wondering the same thing ever since I got the truck. Who wants wimpy mirrors on a dually????

Anyway, I just bought an aluminum flatbed, thats 8'5" wide, and I know that I'll have trouble seeing when I get it put on. (Maybe it'll get installed this winter)

I've seen some brackets to replace the curved piece that goes from the door to the mirror, that are longer so they move the mirror out further, but I'm wondering if they'd look kind of silly. I'd sure like some west coast style but I hate to go drilling holes in my door:{ , and then what do you do with the factory power mirrors that we've got there now? I saw a few trucks at the TDR Nationals that had both, the factory power mirrors and the west coast style.

Dieselman,

I kind of like the idea of having both sets of mirrors. I am not worried about looks as these mirrors will be going on a SRW W-250, not even a dually. I pulled my 38' GN tonight and the power mirrors are okay, but I really wish they were bigger. Do you have any pictures of the trucks that had both kinds of mirrors? Thanks.

Jeremy

No Pics

Case 500D, sorry I didn't take any pictures. However now that you know what to look for you'll probably be drivin' down the road and see a truck with both mirrors. :p Seriously though, I need to do some research but probably won't get around to it until I get my flatbed on, then I will HAVE TO find a solution;)
