Westach Boost Gauge Install

I just installed the Westach boost and EGT combo gauge. Everything works fine except I spliced the power wire for the boost gauge into the orange and white wire behind the light switch. Found out that the boost will only work when the lights are on. Is there another wire that I can hook into that will give me power when the key is on?



I have a 2003 3500 SW, 235 horse, 460 torque, 5 speed, 4 wheel drive, Laramie.

I found a suggestion on where to tap into the power in the thread " Help, installing ISSPRO Turbo Temp Monitor" in a reply by Prairie Dog. You should be able to find the post by using the search function. He suggested tapping into the cig lighter power (red wire). Sounded simple and I am planning to use it when I install my transmission temp guage next week.

The orange wire with a white tracer is the wire you want to power the light in the gauge. It is connected to the instrument panel dimmer.
