First idea was the Edge A2 for gauges. Not ready for more power. Thinking about the Westach Egt/Boost combo for my 06'. Anyone have experience with the Westach combo units? I had a 3 gauge pillar on my 96'. I hated the blindspot. Not sure where I want to mount gauge(s) on my 06'.

Got one. Its fine. Matches ok except for the light but dosen't bother or annoy me. Geno's suggested and he/they were right! Did NOT want to give up my grab handle. Easy to read at a glance and looks good. Get compliments about it a lot.

I installed one on my 06MC, utilizing the SRT-10 pillar mount. . works great. I purchased from Geno's and everything needed for the install is included in their kit. I agree with DPKetchum with regards to lighting..... the lighting is slightly different then the stock dash lights but not obtrusive. The gauge is very responsive and rugged!! Tie the gauge light into the dash dimmer switch for a nice install.

That is exactly the combo I am wanting,the SRT-10 pillar mount/Westach Egt/Boost.

because it is a separate unit the gauge difference in appearance is fine. I do think

if you had it in a cluster of 2 or 3 it would be more noticeable.

I would like a few more gauges as well but this would be a great start.

(I keep the genos catalog in the bathroom so I get to look at it daily)

The second set would be the dash pod.

Now that we KNOW our oil pressure gauge is nothing more that a 6psi idiot light,:(

I would like to have a real oil pressure gauge. Oil temp, and trans temp all matching

in a pod. I'm going to call genos and see if they can get one. (OIL Pressure) that matches the other gauges.

EDIT

OK now I looked at a post with the overhead mount and I like that real well too. Still want the SRT-10 pillar mount/Westach regardless.

I wonder how much more wire is required to get them up there and does

the extra wire affect gauge calibration?

My first gauge was the Westach boost/egt mounted in the SRT-10 pillar. I miss it. It was a nice gauge. The light matched fine as long as you put the green silicone thing over the bulb. Now I have three separate gauges.

I prefer being able to look at one gauge and getting two pieces of important information. Go with a Westach or a SPA. They're both great.

What he said. Be sure to use the green bulb cover. During the day it matches very well, so well that several non diesel/dodge fanatics thought it was factory.

I'm a happy owner of the westach/SR10 combo aswell.

I went with the black face because I didn't want the brightness of another light that close to eye level at night. The Green light cover allows it to blend in at night with the rest of the incab lighting. It works very well and doesn't have the obnoxious in your face look of multiple gauges, while still being a bit eye catching. Classy is why I went with it.

They offer the probes in 1/8" or 1/4". Any reason to go with one over the other?

If you boogger the first tap in your manifold with a 1/8" :-laf probe you can alway drill it out bigger and go with the 1/4". You only have one shot with the 1/4" and still use the factory Westach stuff.

I've used Westach gauges both the CTD's I've owned, including my current ride. They have worked flawlessly. The dual gauge is really nice, and the fuel pressure gauge is good too.

I mounted them in a two hole "A" pillar mount on the 2001 and in a "over the mirror" two hole mount on the 2005.

The price is right, they work as advertised, and they look good too... ;)
