Trying to install my gauge finally. I have the sending unit with two posts and need to find out which post goes to gauge and which goes to ground? Don't see any markings for either one. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks, Doug

Take your pick. The sender is a 30 to 240 ohm variable resister. As long as neither terminal is connected to the case, polarity is not an issue.

Pin #4 of guage to 12-24 vdc

Pin #2 of guage to one terminal of sender

Pin # 5 of guage to other terminal of sender AND to ground

This may put your mind at ease.

Here is the catalog page with the sender.

Lengthening the wires a few feet using any wire that you are likely to use will have no significant influence on anything. The extra wire will increase the resistance in the sender circuit an extremely insignificant amount in relation to the 30-240 ohms of the sender.

Thanks again, that is what I thought, but didn't know if it was like the pyro wires. Hopefully I can quit asking silly questions and finish the job.

Thanks again,

Doug
