Nice Looking Air Deflectors?

Read for more power. I have some questions first.

I know y'all get tired of me ask this question. :p

I just can't seem to get of the money for the SPA dual gauges. Woundering about the Westach dual gauge. Are these some good gauges?

Looking at the Boost/EGT, Fuel pressure and Auto temp, I'm wanting just to install the Pillar and do any other modifications.

I ask you when and If I go with the westach gauges, where is the best place to locate the sensor for the fuel and transmission (Auto) lines.

Also I forgot to ask about the Boost and EGT?

:--)

I have mounted Westach dual EGT & Boost, Fuel Pressure & Transmission Temperature guages in a triple pod(Autometer) in my '99. The guages come with instructions from Geno's that will tell you the best mounting places for the boost & EGT sending units. You can retrofit the trans. cooler line to get a port to install your sending unit for the transmission. the part is available from your dealer or I believe a better line without a check valve is available from DTT. It depends in your configuration for the Fuel Pressure sending unit. I mounted mine on top of the fuel filter housing on the back side of the filter to monitor filter plugging. Geno's can answer a lot of your questions. I like the Westach guages although they do take some getting used to. In the pillar the top guage is fairly close to my face & my 40 something eyes can't seem to focus on them quickly. Over a period of time I can tell what they are doing @ a glance now & that is not near the problem it once was. They do come with insets for illumination matching. The only problem I have experienced with them is that the Fuel Pressure Guage will rise about 1 lb. when I turn the lights on. I've checked grounds & voltage running to them with the result being the same. A buddy mounted the same configuration without a problem. I'm living with it. It's better a little off than no guage @ all. Hope this helps.

Also use the Westach, work's great with no problems. Went to the Schrader valve on the VP44 for the fuel pressure with a 18'' 4an line. For the trans temp went with the trans line from a 95/96 #5011244AA replacement line, and just removed one of the check balls. Boost, went to the 3/4'' test plug just infront of the MAP sensor. EGT, went pre turbo, easy to do... ... good luck.

I have the same set up as rattlnrench and they work as he said. I also used the '95 trans line. I drilled and tapped the intake duct for the boost gauge. It was very easy. Good practice for drilling and tapping the exhaust manifold for the pyrometer. I installed Ray's Banjo Bolts and used a tapped one for the FP gauge. You guys w/ the '99s have it a little easier in that dept.

Just rececently the trans temp started acting erratic. After going over and checking and soldering the ground connections I called Geno's and described the problem. They sent a sender out and that took care of the problem. Didn't want the old one back either. They are great folks to deal w/ IMO.

Tom

PS Solder, don't crimp the connections.
