IS anyone running the Westach high output boost/EGT guage? Here is the story. I installed mine as per the intructions from Westach and Geno's. When I switched it on the Boost reads 4psi with power applied and the truck not running. I called Geno's, and they were very helpful. They said they had had these problems before and would send a new guage right away. I installed the next guage with the same result. This time I un-installed and re-installed the entire shebang. Again ... same result. I called up the people at Westach and they were unfamiliar with the problem and wanted me to ship the guage to them. I called Geno's again and they sent a third guage out and said they would handle the returns to Westach. Well Guess what... the third did the exact same thing. Now, this really isn't a big deal, except that it isn't quite right. Has anyone else had this problem?
 
I have not had this problem with westach, but I did have this problem with my old banks boost gauge. If the light was out of the housing, it would work fine. as soon as I put the light in, it would read a few psi. I think the bulb was interfering with something. My isspro egt gauge is easily adjusted accidentally with the bulb also, and if the bulb isnt in right, it will stick at 900*. leave the bulb out and see what happens.

thanks for the info pwrwagn... I had alread tried that though, I should have included that in my original squawk. I also tried reversing the power leads and connecting it directly to the battery. If I am not mistaken this is the only boost gauge that is electric. Who knows. IT seems to read correctly on the top end. I have a #5 plate installed in the stock location with a straight pipe and the AFC pushed all the way forward. With this setup get a max of 36#'s of boost and EGT is 1200-1300 pre-turbo at WOT.
 
Should a #5 in that pump really make 36psi?

I only ask because my #11 full foward in my 215 pump only makes 37 psi with the waste gate plugged.
