The Heavenly 500 - Tribute to Dale Earnhart

Help with a G.M. Diesel

Everything is alright up here in Monroe. Things shook like crazy, but nothing broke.
I was actually sitting at work in Redmond when it hit. My desk is about 10 feet from an exit to the parking lot, and I was standing in that parking lot before alot of people realized it was a quake. I still move pretty fast for an old fart.

Right after things settled down, I had a whole bunch of people tell me that going outside was none to smart. I told 'em that I would rather risk having the sky fall on my head than several hundred tons of concrete from the floors above my desk.

Just another impressive show from 'Mother Nature'.

Hope everyone else is fine.

I was working at a construction site on Seattle waterfront. The ground here is so soft that it shakes when the trains hook up. I was standing next to a 100 ton crane and above a 60 foot deep excavation. At least the crane wasn't hoisting a load cause it was shaking. I could see ground waves. No damage. Truck okay.
