Just bought it. The carpet had been stained at time of purchase, rust on seat frames. Thought the truck was flooded but tire tools in rear and carpet in back like new. Just had new evaporator installed. I saw gallons of water comming out whe i took a turn. Back to A/C - shop they installed a hose with a weep hole in bottom to hook to the bare tube comming through the fire wall - its the drain line.
Thought the problem was gone so I lifted passenger carpet to dry. Rained yesterday, hit puddle and saw water all over the passenger side floor? Looking closely at A/C intake and water is still dripping however slowly. Also condensate on bottom of the evaporator housing. This could be from drain pan not draining properly and allowing ice cold water to be in contact with the plastic pan
I will check the brake light and roof lights above cab and also plastic behind door panel.
1. Is there a special drain trap to drain A/C properly?
2. When i hit the big puddle i am pretty sure that the water came through the floor. But i cant find any holes. has any body else had this problem?
3. My carpet already smells, I think I have 3-4 sources water - Driving me nuts! A/C, brake light, rear window, plastic behind door and hole in the floor.
Any detective help would be appreciated.
