I sorry to say we have lost one of the kindest most thoughtful men on earth. On Sunday about 1pm James Earl (Jim)Preston lost his life in a skydiving accident.

Please pray for his wife Lori and family.

Lori only made one tandem jump. Like me she did not have the nerve to pursue skydiving (I only made 25 jumps) but she was always there packing parachutes and keeping the guys in order.

Jim would do anything to help someone.

Jim was just the most level headed man on the drop-zone.

Jim was a true gentleman.

Thanks for all the prayers.

Jim was in the U. S. Navy from 1971-75,Alabama ARNG from 1976 -2001 and US Civil Service Alabama ARNG from 1985 till 2001. He served in Desert Storm from February 1991 till September 1991. Jim was a skydiver student instructor and static-line jump-master.

He left behind a wife Lori,2 daughters Jennifer and Katherine. 2 sons James Preston Jr. and Colin. 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Jim was only 47 years old.

Skydivers are very close to each other, there saftey depends on it.

Thanks again,Tim
