ok... what is the difference between the WH1C and the HX35???? they seem pretty much the same. somebody tell me please!!!!:{ :{ ... ..... LOL:-laf

Jim

The H1 is older and has a vee clamp that holds the compressor housing on to ther cartrage instid of a snap-ring.

Only things that I know of.

Adam

FWIW, My WH1C makes 40psi just fine.....

Is it well out of it's compressor map range? Oh yeah.....

Will it blow up..... probably, if I keep on making it do 40psi runs... . so far, so good.

Matt

I am not worried about my turbo being substanderd... just wondering what the diff is. and then why did they change over to the HX35.

Jim

Because it rules

Jim, the HX35 is better in all ways. Why do they change anything? Usually to make it better and in this case they sure did that! LOL, kidding of course, have to pic on the guy down the street now and then... :p :p

the reason they change stuff is to make it last just out of warrenty so you have to spend money to fix... so that means your turbo is sucky, cummingspoer;) Mine will last FOREVER!!! :-laf :-laf ... just kidding mark, BHAF getter and not telling!! Jim

My bad... I knew it looked familiar... I just assumed it was an ISB... . it's all those red valve covers I keep on seeing on people's ISB's..... :D

I stand corrected.

Matt - I need a pic of an C8. 3L... . it's either that or a 4BT I'll be buying one, or BOTH next..... *evil grin*

Hey Matt... what are you going to do with one/the other or both?. I dont have much use for a 8. 3 but I would LOVE to get my hands on a couple of 3. 9sOo.

Jim

I'm putting one in a top secret project..... hehe Well it's not really top secret, but I want it to be a surprise to my fellow TDR members.

I'm thinking that the C8. 3 would be nice, and EASY to make 600rwhp... . but it's heavier by 300# in comparison to the 6BT..... the 4BT is lighter... . by how much... I don't know... . than the 6BT... . and since there's a 250hp marine version of the 4BT, I'm confident that I can easily get 300hp out of it.

Since my project is supposed to be a bit of a drag racing thing... the extra HP from the 8. 3L would easily overcome the weight handicap... plus it would be just plain bada$$.

We'll see... . whatever falls into my lap for the best deal going is what I'll go with. Life itself is nothing but that.....
