POst your pictures of Fuel Costs.....

Will high diesel costs kill the demand for new

read that whole thing... BOY! what a bunch of clueless morons... .

most of the guys were complaining of the smoke, noise and cost. Well Shevy and Dodge and even the ford are quiet now and new regs make for cleaner emissions so these guys have blinders on... unbelievable! More diesel for us I guess... .

Jimmbo cracks me up, what a moron. Thread is over 2 years old but good reading.

I'm actually glad people like this exist. Anytime they get schooled on diesel power the moment of enlightenment is priceless.

that was bad. what a sorry group of pansies. they dont tow enough. wha wha wha. there too loud. oh well, they probably cant handl the torque anyhow. i love my truck

towing with a minivan and telling people? i wonder what its like to be a man with no balls :D

Well, the site is Trailer Boats Magazine - any boat that can be trailered won't need a diesel engine. Looks like most of those guys don't realize anything about diesel power because they can't manage to get a REAL boat.

Real boats, like real trucks, use diesel.

I've owned a few boats (all trailerable or rackable), but never one that needed a crew so I could rationalize calling myself "Captain".

i think the gist of it might be they can't justify the extra cost. More than likely they have no clue or they can't afford the added option of a diesel.

Hey watch now your stepping on some toes! ;) I can't agree that every real boat is a diesel!

Sorry, Kennywould - no bad-mouth intended.

Maybe I should have said: Working boats, like wkng' trucks, use diesel.

The power boats I've owned were gasoline, but I considered them play-toys.

Former 'play-sailor' John :D

It all goes back to one simple idea: every man in the universe wants to believe what he owns is somehow the best choice.

I've never heard anyone with any diesel vehicle ever say "I wish I'd got the gas version"... but I hear gassers say all the time "I wish I got the diesel".

Ironically, if you could get a gasser to run at the same compression ratio as a diesel, it would be more efficient than the diesel.
