That was a quote from the Grateful Dead by the way. In 1993 I bought my first Dodge powered Cummins a '92 standard cab with auto. Averaged 22 miles per gallon and could pull a house. I think it started with 160 horsepower and ended with who knows what when we turned the screws out on the pump. In '95 it got traded for a 4x4 with a then new V-10. Pulled great, 13 mpg and ran like a raped ape. In '98 common since prevailed again and it got traded for a '98 (last of the 12 valve) quadcab with 5 speed. Gauges, a torque plate from Jannetty Racing and 4 inch exhaust and I then realized the V-10 really wasn't that fast
. I think I should have keep this truck looking back in retrospect. In 2000 I traded for a '01 HO 3500 and of coarse eventually DD2s, Edge Comp, gauges from the last truck, Southbend Con Fe and 4" exhaust. V-10 really wasn't fast at all :-laf . I'm pleased to say the '05 4xi4 is caring on the tradition. It is so cool to see the improvements. This one runs almost as good stock (well ok, the intake restrictions have been taken out) as the '01 did with the box on 3 and 19mpg to boot. Thanks Dodge.
