I have used the NAPA Gold... it's ok but, the orange seal around the edge is not as nice as the Fleetguard. I'm assuming a 2001 model here.

Geno's has the Fleetguards instock and the prices are very reasonable.

94-02 part number AF-25541

If you have the time go for the factory Fleetguard.

Not sure if Amsoil has a Nanofilter technology stock replacement filter or not, but if they do, that would be worth a try. Good flow, no oil, and good filtering to go with it.

My Nanofiber BHAF style filter is working out VERY well as compared to LOTS of others Ive thrown good money at and either re-sold or thrown in the trash.

This one is a keeper.

AFE is making some good filters now also. In MY opinion..... steer clear of K&N.

Amsoil has the nano filter for the 01s and i'm giving it a tryout. It even comes with a foam prefilter! I'll check my silicon level at the next oil change to make sure all is well . It'll be about 7000 miles on the air filter and the oil by then.

The Amsoil Nano-Fiber filter is available for the Dodge/Cummins application. For 94-02 the number is:EaA-106. For the 5. 9L 2003-2007 the number is:EaA-189.

Currently there is NO Nono-Fiber filter for the 6. 7L engine.

Amsoilman, I see that you're a dealer. Could you pm me with a price or is it against TDR policy? This is for a 2001 stock air filter box. Thanks Bunyan

They (AMSOIL) probably make a round or cone shaped filter if you have a K&N FIPK or similar type aftermarket CAI. I'm using the Nanofiber in my stock airbox. Probably the best filter made for both airflow AND filtration.

I vote Amsoil. Run from K&N for sure. I'm using the EaAU4510 in my home made cold air box and it's work really well so I'm happy. My last oil sample showed good results for silicon. I was real happy to find this filter since its dry and filters and flows well.

OK. I've felt that the amsoil would be best for me. Now, does anyone know if you can get a cone or oval universal filter to work in the factor air box without major fabrication. Would prefer none. I can build anything but for once in my sick mind would like to find something without having to totaly fabricate it on my own. Any part numbers for this application would be great. then I could visit with Amsoilman. Thanks Bunyan
