I am needing to do a turbo upgrade this spring , I have the Edge Comp and BD XXX Pulse 130's are on the way. What turbo can i use, i am thinking a 40/35 hbrid from IIS, i talked to Shane last month about it . Is there a different turbo that may flow more that i can grow into. I want to get to about 425hp and i want to make the right choice so i do it once. I usually go cheap at first and it bites me in the rear. all ideas welcome

With what you have I would skip the hybrid route. You can sell your exhaust brake and get an inline 4". You will be way better off in the long run. I know from experience that hybrids do spool sweet quick but fall off in the upper ranges. And do you want a turbo thats at its jagged edge all the time or one that you arent working to death to keep up with your fuel demand? You want a turbo in the 400-500hp range rather than one in the 300-425hp range. But remember this is just my opinion... ... .....

I agree a 100% and i have thought of the same thing you have suggested. I wish there was a magic turbo out there that spools good on the bottom and great on the top, oh wait is't that twins.

I'm using a Dodgezilla with a ported 14 cm exhaust housing. It keeps a lid on egt pretty well & spools very fast. Sure it would be nice to have a little more at the top end but I use the bottom end far more.
