On the Edge EZ box the directions say steps 1,2,and 3 are for different size injectors,
3 being maximum and 1 being lowest.

Are there different fueling steps for each?

Or is it like the DD box where the same fueling comes on at different boost pressures?

Thanks for any info...

interesting doug , i thought they were like the DD , except for the timing only , same fueling , different boost level , 1 being least aggresive , at 20 psi , 2 middle , 10 psi , 3 most aggresive , 3 psi ... i do see how they are for different injectors as my ram with DD3's didn't like to be on the 3 psi setting .

Thanks Mopar-Muscle-

So there's fuel and timing at all positions, and the least agressive to strongest on the EZ's it's;

1= 20 psi
2= 10 psi
3= 3 psi

I understand the DD EZ is set up;

1= timing only,no fuel
2= 20 psi
3= 3 psi

I've got the EZ set on #3 on a stock ETH, and it smokes pretty good taking off from stoplights keeping up with traffic...

Guess I'll cut it back to #2 to see how that
reacts.

Well, here's a great way to make my first post! #ad
I just recently asked that exact question of the guys @ Edge Products. This was their response, my initial questions follow; #ad

The 3 jumper settings on the EZ help to eliminate low boost smoke by
decreasing the amount of fuel added until more boost is present. Setting 1
does not allow the full additional fueling until 20 psi of boost, setting 2
is 15 psi and setting 3 is 10 psi. If the jumper is not installed it
defaults to setting 3. All settings will start to add fuel at the same
point, which is just determined by the amount of stock fuel if you are over
960 rpm. The difference between the levels is how much additional fuel will
be added. The reason for adjusting the settings would be excessive smoke at
low boost, or if it felt to responsive at low to mid rpm range.

The data link can be disconnected and then used as a boost module with no
problem
Thanks

Subject: EZ

Hello Brett & Aaron,

I spoke to Aaron on the phone several weeks ago about the EZ box. I
bought one shortly thereafter and I have to say, That's one impressive
job you guys have done. I have a 2001. 5 auto 4X4 Quad cab etc. I run
with the turnbuckle trick on the wastegate and see 30 psi. I have a
couple of questions I would like you to detail;

1. Your documentation only says that the different positions affect
the "responsiveness" of the setup. I believe the default as shipped is
the #3 position and it is stated as that is the "most responsive". Can
you detail for me the 3 different positions as to when the fueling
starts, RPM or Boost and other factors? I will be towing a 10K enclosed
trailer and want to understand my options.

2. I think I saw on the TDR site that you could use the EZ with the
MAP sensor hookup only as a boost module and not the ECM data link
connector. Is this true and what effects will there be? Detrimental or
otherwise?

That's about all I can think of right now. Damned fine product.

Thanks much

WCR 25 , thanks for clearing up the fueling VS boost numbers , i was going on what i was told as i have been testing a borrowed EZ , but don't have the paperwork . i must have gotten a bit confused with the DD settings , but i thought that the most aggresive setting was lower , my ram with DD3's didn't like the most aggressive setting . #ad

WCR25--- In your post you state "the difference between the levels is how much fuel will be added. Do you mean that on setting 3 more fuel is added or just the same fuel as settings 1&2 just at a lower boost pressure. I have put my ez on setting 2 because of smoke at low boost. If I will get more fuel(power) on setting 3 I will change it back.

I'd love to be able to answer that but must defer to the experts. If you look closely at my post, I was only forwarding the response I got from the guys @ Edge Products. #ad
I would suggest that you e-mail them directly (the address is in the post) and then post their response for us as well. You can never have too much understanding of these thi9ngs, especially when we're Bombing. #ad
