On my 1996 the previous owner decided to paint over the sticker that is on there.

I'd like to know the capacity with and without loadlever or equalizer bars.

Thanks!

Dan

My 1996 3500 was 500 tongue weight/5000 total weight without weight distribution, 1000 tongue weight/10000 total weight with weight distribution.

I just took that POS Class 3 hitch off and bought a shure pull class 5 hitch.

It is rated for 1000 tounge and 10,000 Weight carr. and 1400 Tounge and 14,000 Weight dist.

Got it at a trailer supl for $139 Had to drill out the stock holes to 5/8" because the bolts were 9/16" and masssive.

Also had a "L" plate that incorporated the bolts for the bumper so now I have 10 bolts total holding it on.

Cut off the mounting for the plug in and mounted it sideways on a bolt on the bottom of the bumper to the left of the hitch. Works out good.....

Torqued the main bolts to 100 ft lb so now ready for my trailer I am buying later this week.
