Hey guys-

I believe that these are for a factory installed bed liner, the truck no longer has it, bought it used and my dad is getting line-x put in the bed next week. We are going to pull the 4 rectangular plugs out and i'll weld the little holes up, but can anyone confirm that these are for the factory bed liner just before i start welding  ??

I would most likely say yes it was. I have a 01 and there wasn't anything like that there so take it off and plug it.

Line-X

I had those holes on mine too, you don't need to weld the up. Line-X will put alittle tiny piece of tape over the hole and spray over it. I had mine done 3yrs ago no problem, and I have hauled broken concrete and all sorts of things.

Mine had dents in the fender wells... ... Never noticed it till I bought it!!

The dealer used bondo to fill the dents and sprayed Line-X over it.

I never even knew of them until after the truck was mine, I was crawling under it and noticed the dents.

Gitten-r-done, Nice sig :-laf what soot!? :D

I just popped them off and they were on with double sided tape. I'm in the clear, no welding :) I'm a good welder, just too lazy to get it out today... . It looks like it was for the carpet or bed liner and it had double sided tape holding it on. That stuff works great!

Thanks for your comments,

So, the bed has a few dings, does linex usually use bondo to fill them??
