Filter Mount Source???

I might try to read the fine print when I get some time this evening. That sounds like its too good to be true. But if its true... whats 7 bucks? Right? :-laf

Just read everything (I think) on the site. seems like they will be sending you a lot of spam e-mail.

I might use a "Junk" account & sign up.

I couldn't resist... I just signed up. It's only $7. I have a spam blocker on my email so I'm not worried about that. Worst case - I'm out $7.

It said I would receive the information packet in 14-21 days. Then, of course, you have to wait a month before you get the 1st check. In due time, Grasshopper! I'll let you know.

I figured about how many miles I drive per month - 2000

I average 20 per gallon. Divide by 2000 - 100 gallons used per month

Current price of diesel in my area, approx - $2. 49

Gasrefund.com will knock it down to - $1. 60

Difference of approx - $0. 90

Check from Gasrefund.com per month - $90

Sounds good to me. I could use an extra $100 monthly.

They limit the amount of the refund to 25 gallons for the 1st month, then 50 and 100 gal/month for months 2 and 3. Thereafter, 200 gal/month based on available revenues (wanna bet the revenues don't come in?).

If you get the 1st month then you are whole - but big if. Why are they waiting 21 days to send out the info packet? Suspiciously close to the cutoff date for enrollment.

And why cutoff enrollment at all? If they are really looking to build a big marketing base, they would be asking for very detailed demographic info in order to enroll (age/income/children/music/hobbies/etc. ) and making the enrollment free to everyone to sign up.

I tried the signup by mail option (using a dummy name), and they don't even have their database organized with separate First Name and Last Name fields. Just one big Name field (suggests no intention of using it for marketing). No reference number to put on my check or money order to match up my payment with my info packet to be sent upon receipt of said payment. If I went to the post office and got a money order, they would never be able to link it back to me.

As it is, they need to sign up 3 new members to pay for month one of an existing member. 6 members for a month 2 member. So on. Sounds like a pyramid scheme or they have no intention of ever paying out.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
