sorry for not replying sooner . ill take yalls advice. does advanceing the timing hurt fuel mileage at all . ill check to see if tamper proof screw is missing. is there anybody in my area real familar with these trucks i can trust or call to get help with my truck . i live in gastonia n. c ive got alot of ? about these trucks.

Timing helps milage and cold starts. You'll have more top end with more timing. Advanced timing also raises cylinder pressure and can lead to head gasket issues. Moderation usually works best for longevity of everything so 14. 5-15. 5 degrees.
