What Bolts & Studs advised for Exhaust Manifold Replacement

Dealer wants $12.50/bolt or stud. Whaaat?

NAPA has a $40 kit w/12 bolts, apparently no studs mentioned, but could? be there. The 4 studs look kinda special. Where to buy them?

What size & grade are the manifold bolts & turbo bolts pls?

Job is scheduled for Monday 10th. Thanks much for quick replies.

I have a spare set, I got a manifold a while back and they said it didn't come with any bolts, etc so I got a kit. Well low and behold when I got the manifold it had the bolts for manifold with it. If you want them they're yours, you pay shipping only.

My bad. I just received a BD Diesel Pulse 2-piece exhaust from Geno's Garage. GREAT delivery via FedEx!
Just found that local NAPA had a kit #730-5737, $40, of 12-10mmx63mm long, 10.9 heat treat spec., mounting bolts. No studs in this 'kit', nor specs, so I had to quick order 4 studs from local dealer. At least the kit bolts will serve to mount the turbo also, at least from what I could measure.

I guess $3.50/high strength bolt ain't bad. Had no idea it would be a high tech challenge/hassle bolting on a manifold, eh. View attachment 113395

The BD instruction sheet from Geno’s Website says to reuse the stock bolts and spacers but to use the supplied studs for the turbo. I take it you don’t want to reuse the OE hardware? My 3-piece ATS manifold came with bolts and studs exactly like the ones in Bill’s pic. They’ve been on it now for close to 200K miles with no issues.

Hey Eric,
Picking up on a bit of an aged thread.... What do you like about the DPS over the BD, besides perhaps the price difference? I’m getting ready to put PAC Brake on and figured I would change out the exhaust manifold as well.
