Okay, I'm convinced. I'm going to bomb my truck Oo. . I know I have to start with gauges, but what brand to buy?? I've been looking through Auto meter, but I can't find anything that matches my stock instrument cluster that reads what I want:

FP - 0-30 psi

Boost - 0-30 psi

Pyro -

I also want the A-pillar mount (w/speaker). Autometer just has one that attaches to the stock (have to cut speaker mount off, don't want to do that). Is there a better one?

I am leaning toward the Banks power pack but I don't like their gauges.

Any advice??

I ordered my DiPricol guages from TST Products. I got a transmission temp (I have auto), 0-60 psi boost and 0-1600deg pyro. Like the guages a lot. Great fun to watch as I drive down the road.

I like my Isspro gauges. Don't settle for a 0-30 boost gauge if you are going to bomb. 0-40 is minimum.

I've used IssproEV's and Autometer ultra-lites and both have been trouble free. I think there is less to go wrong with the Mechanical autometers though.

I used the Autometer A-Pillar pod that is supposed to go over the top of the factory one. And just didn't put if over the other one. The bottome is very tight and just used a single screw at the top to hold it. Pic in my gallery, before I got the orange needle ISSPro's (they shipped me the wrong ones). I don't have the rainbow EGT gauge anymore either. And if I had it to do over again, I wouldn't get the EV series, as long as the regular ones look the same the EV's kind of reflect sunlight.

I have the Isspro EV gauges. I used the 3 gauge full pillar, and did what Rattlin Ram did. I left the stock pillar cover off, and used two screws under the rubber to hold it in place. It's very secure and doesn't move.

If you look real hard in the link below, you can see the two screws I used. I just haven't gotten around to painting the tops of the screws yet.

I have the Autometer Ultalights, I would not buy them again. In two years time, I'm on my second pyro and boost is a flaky little sucker. Iit has a tendancy to stick around 20 psi, last time I pulled the 5er to Flagstaff, the guage was stuck on 20, I kept thumping it until it got past that stage and has worked better since. (Phx to FLG with 5er = running at egt limit for miles upon miles :-laf)

I have Di Pricol gauges - Pyro, Trans temp and Boost. These are installed on the "A" pillar and match quite well with the factory gauges. My only complaint is that the needle on the Pyro is hard to see at nighttime. When you install, remove the stock "A" pillar and use a screw to secure the new one. Also buy extra bulbs for the gauges, I have had to replace about 4 in the last 2 years.
