Transmission Swap Info

Ever wonder why all the million-mile trucks used dino oil??

Rotella 15w40 in all engines (personal trucks and equipment, as well as work trucks and all our rental equipment) Amsoil in work truck auto transmissions and in all differentials. All the Dodge/Cummins engines always serviced @5000 mile intervals.

Rotella T.

Strangely enough, I like the smell - reminds me of my grandpa and driving through the oil fields. The kids don't like it but I tell 'em it builds character :-laf

Rotella 15-40 every 5k.

Guess I should of used something else though  , blew the motor pulling Raton Pass grossing 34. 8k lbs at 420,000 miles  . Truck had been pulling heavy daily since new. 178 hp to 100k, 340 hp next 100k, and 400hp last 220k.

What ever the dealership's 15-40 is.

Every 1000 miles and a filter every 2000 miles.

My dad is a service tech at dodge. Oil and filters are always free.

Its nice to have a fully serviced shop with free fluids and a lift all at my disposal!

Amsoil in the diff's and t case (when its not leaking  )

Justin

I don't care if it is free, changing your oil every 1000 miles is a big waste of oil, especially now when oil is such an expensive natural resource and think of what you are doing to the environment. You ought to be ashamed of yourself for that. STOP wasting oil. Grizzly
