Ever wonder why all the million-mile trucks used dino oil??

After trying Mobile Racing Syn and Amsoil and getting progressivly worse oil reports I switched back to Rotella T and filter every 5k. Numbers are improving. . . me and the DOC's started breathing again.

oil preference

rotella t and frantz bypass filter. :D

and for the enironmentally concious: :-{} :-{} clean oil and less waste :-laf sounds like a lite beer commercial, tastes great less filling :-laf

Ill change my oil and filters once a year from now on :-laf

when it comes to oil preference i see no arguement, its what ever you prefer theyre all good.

Rotella T, tried going extended with Mobile One Racing syn, analysis numbers went out of sight. Next tried AmsOil Syn, numbers still increasing. Blackstone Labs can't figure it either, but now back to Rotella T and 5,000 oil & filter changes. Numbers on the decline. Talk about getting religion fast.

Cheers,

Steve J

I use Amsoil 15W - 40 super marine, Frantz by-pass pulling 13K 5er, 44 K on truck and just breaking in. Zero oil consumption and change oil anually with Frantz element every 2500.

Rotella. I just changed the oil after 6000 miles and it was still clear with a dark tint. Was that because I didn't pull anything? I'm used to my old Mercedes 300 D turning the oil black like tar after 1000 miles.
