My current set of tires I have 14,000 miles on them and I am in need of a new set. What brand of tire are you running and are you happy with them?

Also, if you are running stock size rims, what size are you running?

Once again thank you for the information.

I am running 265/75-16 Yokohama Geolander HT-S on stock steel rims.

I am very very pleased with their performance. Awsum on dry and wet roads.

I ran them for one winter and they are "okish" but the past two winters I have Cooper studded M&S on the rears.

I'll buy them again for sure. Same warantee as the big names but 2/3 the price.

I've been running the Michelins on my truck since I've owned it, and they are the best wearing tires I've ever owned. I have almost 20k miles on this set and they still look like new. They are more expensive, but I should be able to get 50k miles or more out of them, so it's worth it IMHO. :)

i just put cooper discoverers on last fall. great in the snow, not loud at all, will throw a stone once in a while. they are made in USA by an American-Owned company. i had realy considered Michelins, but couldn't justify the price, and didn't want my $$ ending up overseas. (france, in thier case)

Im runnin 285/75 Goodyear MT/R's on a stock size wagon wheel. I really like them, they have done me good in the mud, and aint too bad on the highwa

I've had 2 sets of Michelin's LTX average 50K out of each set. Good wearing but not the best for the snow conditions... so changed to the new Goodyear Silent Armor Wrangler 265/75/16. Can't hear the tire over the Cummins and rated for severe snow conditions. 50K warrenty. Satisfied so far.

I just started running Mastercraft Courser tires a couple of years ago... sold my last truck before I got to wear the tires out so I don't know how long the A/T's lasted. However I've currently got a set of 315/75/16 M/C C/T's on which are a good blend of A/T & M/T styles. They have about 30-32,000 miles on them right now and could stand to be replaced..... but they still have tread on them good enough for the street so I'm running them till it gets closer to pulling season so my new tires will have plenty of tread.

Oh yeah these are the first set of tires I've had that have lasted more than 25K miles on my 2500's. ;)

I got over 80,000 on a set of Michelins. My 2003 still had the original BFG's on it when I sold it at 60,000, I think they are going to make 80,000 as well. I put a set of Dayton 235/85-16s on my 1993, and a set of off brand 255/85-16s on my 91 this time, they look like BFGs anyway. I had a hard time finding the 255s. Who would have ever thought that size tire would ever be hard to find? Glen

Ok, I gotta ask, what do you tow to wear out tires in 14K? Or is it a typo?

I have about 28K on 4 Mastercraft Courser ?/Ts. The fronts were on a bad alignment, so they wore much faster (60% left), but the rears still have 75-80% tread left. I will be buying more in the near future for the 92. Resonable prices, and we had had good luck with them in the past on cars. MultiMiles are also good, cost effective tires. I can easily get 50K out of most tires if I avoid the real heavy GCVWs (20K+).

Bobcat or dump trailer

Daniel,

I pull a Bobcat 773 on a 18 foot tag trailer and I also pull a 12 foot hydraulic dump trailer. Either will weight in about 10,000 lbs with equipment and trailer. I don't thing it is the weight because I have read where many of you tow alot more. I think it was poor quality tires.

I got the tires from Sears (first mistake), I think they were a Sears brand tire.

I am trying to determine a good tire. I like Michelin (sp) but they are too expensive.

I think you might be better off with a more expensive set. At least an equal value to two cheap sets with approx. 30k on them? Wouldn't get the ding for mount and balance at least...

On one of my trucks I run Pro Comp ATs 33x12. 50s on the stock rim. They have way better traction than about 90% of the allterrains out there and I got 54,000 miles out of the last set I ran. On anothet truck I just put on a set of Cooper STTs. 35x12. 50 on stock aluminum wheels. The traction is unreal. I think they are going to be a really good tire. My third truck has the stock Michelins on it and I hate them. Traction is minimal if you get in to anything (snow, mud) deeper than a few inches. Will be putting one of the above tires on this truck when the tread starts to get low.

I have the bridgestone dueler at revo 265/75r16 load range e ,They do good in the snow that's compared to my dunlop radial rovers though

I like the Brigestone Dueler A/T. I know many people who work in the oil fields and the Bridgestone tire is all they will run They are getting great milage out of their tires ( about 50K ) on rough rocky roads.
