What brand of TP are you using in your Frantz?

It seems the question will come up as to what is the paper of choice for the Frantz filter? Looking at the filter that came with the unit, the paper tube (center) is smaller than the center tube in the Scotts TP. Is there TP being used that fits the center housing tight like the Frantz TP? How are you making this work?

As mentioned in my Frantz thread - and by a few other users:

In any event, buy the HARDEST most tightly wound rolls you can find, then try to adjust the fit to the canister for a very firm insertion pressure for best filtration. AVOID the loose, embossed and perfumed stuff!

What about the rolls they use in public restrooms that is so thin that you can never pull it off the roll without it tearing at each seam. And then when you do get enough it is like wiping with cardboard.  Bet that would filter good. :)

"Friend of my uncle, calls that kind of TP, John Wayne TP. Tough as nails, but don't take no cr** off of nobody. "

:D :D :D :D

BUT, fact is, that stuff makes EXCELLENT filter material for the Frantz - sure would like to find an easy source for the stuff...

Dropped by the super duper wally world this morning. Took the ruler & measured rolls for 1. 5" center diameter ... found it.

This'll fit snug to the center "inlet" tube.

edit: fit perfectly / snugly just like the one that came with the filter. had to reel off a little from the roll. :)
