The retread idea seems to bubble up lots of emotions. Too each his/her own.

Years ago, it was not uncommon to run retreads all the way around where I grew up because the speeds were not that great and money was hard to come by. Big thing is to keep the inflation where it needs to be. Take note that you don't see a lot of "alligators" during the colder months, mostly summer.

Toyo"s here. I don't know what kinda milage I'll get but they are the smoothest runnin tire I've put on my 3500.

Put Toyo AT Open Country 265's on 16x8 rims at Les Schwab. They're a very smooth running tire, but super sensitive to tire pressure, IMHO. I've got just a bit over 20K on them now and probably won't get much over 30K based on current wear extrapolation. I'll likely change to something else when the time comes.
