What can I buy a new 2007 for?

Hi Guys,

I'm thinking of getting rid of my 2001 Cummins and getting a newer or new Dodge. Trying to decide if it is worth buying used, say 2005ish or just going new. Lower interest rates for new obviously. Looking at a 3500 (single wheel), 4wd, 6 spd. , cummins, leather etc. for $30,000 ish. The truck has approx. 40,000 miles on it. I've been looking at some local (Maryland) dealers and they have window stickers of $44,000 to $47,000 depending on accessories. Can I buy a truck that is stickered at $44,000 for say $38,000? If it is only a few thousand diff between new and used, I'd be tempted to get a new one. Is $30,000 a good price for an 05 with Banks 6 gun and exhaust plus most options? Alot of questions I know! Thanks for the input!

You might want to make a complete wish list, then email it to Dave Smith in Kellog, Idaho for a quote. He runs about $5000 less than most dealers.
I paid 36000 for my 06 Laramie 4x4.
The only problem with a chipped truck is if the owner abused the power, there is likely to be driveline damage.
