Yes sir Edge ez and a low gain injector for efficiency seems to work well for mileage gains but put what truck you have in your sig it helps people give you advice

Supperchip is ok but not much for $400. I would do a full comp box. Set it on 1x2 or 2x3 for best milage (I get about 2-3 more mpg with the comp on) and it still has a lot of power if you want to play.

I second Green Machine, If youre goign to spend the money you might as well have a box "Chip" that you can adjust your power settings accordingly. As you can see in my sig. ive got the BD race comp. and I woudlnt buy anything else!!! hidden away in my ashtray- open it up, turn it on and to the power setting I want then turn it off and its back to stock and nobody will know its there!

Ditto the Comp, whichever brand or version you choose. The ability to turn it off is nice for keeping the smoke down when it's prudent.

What kind of work are you talking about? maybe an air filter upgrade? (not to make a sale but im selling my old stage 1 box on ebay so you just need a filter pretty much and its ready to go and NO SHIPPING for TDR memebers) Id say start with a air filter upgrade then MAYBE a exhaust... I guess it just depends on how hard you will run the truck. My BD Drag Comp makes the shifting alot smoother and you will enjoy it alot!!

The question you have to ask yourself is if you are going to want more down the line or will this be a one time thing. If you think you will want more down the line then the comp is the way to go, if not get an EZ and call it good.

My Dad has RV275's and a boost fooler, he has driven the truck over 60K miles that way and he thinks its a hotrod. I on the other hand have had two diff sets of injectors, two diff turbos, several air filters, various fuel pumps... . the list goes on.

So I guess what I am saying is decided what you might want and buy it once. Its much cheaper that way. Happy Bombing.

No one has mentioned Blue Chip yet. With the HO motor you might not want a lot of extra timing like Edge gives you. DD's version has less timing, but Blue Chip doesn't affect the timing at all. I'm happy with the timing from my CaTCHER but as I slip down the slippery BOMBing slope I'm thinking the Blue Chip APB might be just the ticket.

What about the TST powermax 3 I produces the same ammount of power as the comp but with less timing and you can get an adjustable remote for it.

After you rob the Wells Fargo wagon or win the lottery start watching some of the hot rod threads. Once you dyno 800hp you can take a breather!

I have the Edge Comp on my HO truck and haven't had any problems, but I don't thrash my truck either. I am a little leary of riding the timing envelope, but if I gotta do a head gasket I might as well cam it, stage2 it, P&P it...

If you want more power down the road the edge comp or the drag comp is a good way to go great adjustability and potential for big power later. Level 2 on comp box is about the same as ez version one thing that nobody else mentioned is that comp box's void your warranty by tapping injection pump wire if that is a concern to you you can still use a comp without tapping wire but it will only make the power of ez version which is 65hp 185 ft/lbs of torque once the warranty is up 100k you can then tap pump wire. The comp will make 120 rwhp and 350 ft/lbs of torque with comp you will need 4 inch exhaust and new intake setup of some kind that much more fuel you will need to uncork the truck. Gauges then are neccessary as well you will need to watch pyro temps as for other mods you have a manual I see since your truck is the H. O. version you might wan't to upgrade clutch I'd try mods first to see if it is neccessary. Let me know if I can be of anymore help I am a site sponsor my banner is the one that is on fire

Isn't ANY box gonna void your warranty? Some are easier to remove than others without telltale signs, but the way I understand it any "performance enhancing" add-on can void your warranty (at the dealers/manufacturers discretion).
