I have a 98 12valve 2wd that needs aclutch Its shifting hard and growling in 3rd and 4th under load which I assume is the pilot bearing The only mods are stock plate forward, fuel turned up,16* timeing, and 4inch exhaust It makes 30+ psi boost (I need a new gauge ) and 1400* is easy What clutch do you guys recomend I tow a three horse lq trailer and some times the pulling tractor (around 12000lbs) Thanks

Sounds like a 13" Con O (rated @ 400HP) or a 13" Con OFE (rated @ 450HP) is what you need. Peter will tell you to tow heavy and keep the warrenty you need to upgrade to the 13" clutches.

I've had a 13" FE, and now my Dual Disk and I love both! Oo.

clutch

The con 'o clutch will not hold 400 hp. You have to look at the torque that you put out. I have a con'o and it slipes bad on level 4 and 5 and some times on level 3. I am running 384 hp at 844 torque as of 9-26-04. I have went to a new clutch that Mark Kendrick said that would hold the torque. I thank he said it was a fe. If you talk to petter you need to have some idea of the torque that you are putting out.

I have edge comp box with dd2 injectors and i moved the fuel pump to the rr close to the tank and changed all the fuel lines to 3/8" lines and got rid of all the banjo bolts.

I wash I had done it right the first time I hope this helps. It's bettter to get it right the first time. Oo. Oo. Oo.
