Depends on the angle of the sun, how daylight strikes it, cloudy or clear skies, what it's settin' next to, the phases of the moon, what the primary color is . . . .

Both of my truck are forest green/driftwood. When I ordered the '99 truck, the driftwood on the sales brochure looked light tan. Ok, beige then. When the truck came in I thought it had been mis-painted. Guess not. Looks silver/gray most of the time to me.

My dad's 98. 5 is driftwood colored. Its like a beige Silver. Nice color, looks clean even when its filty.

The 99 I had that was the driftwood color. Was a silver/beige color but it all depended on the light. But the color was good about hiding dust it always looked clean.

My 1996 3500 was medium driftwood. In the paint industry vernacular, driftwood has a lot of "flop" - i. e. , the color changes pretty dramatically depending on the angle light strikes it and/or the angle you're viewing it. Generally speaking, it looks like a metallic silver/gray where the metallic pigment used is bronze. It can look gray, bronze, or even take on a bluish or greenish tint at times. As LJFiler said, it really doesn't show dust or dirt.

Rusty

Its the best color DC ever put on these trucks, it can be filthy and still look good across the street. Oh wait, this post is biased as my truck is driftwood.

I had a 2000 driftwood and it most usually appears to be a metalic silver paint. When the sun hits it, there is a bronze reflection similar to the purple you would see in a pearl paint. It did hide dirt pretty well.

My 2001 is driftwood and has been said it seems to be silver with the slightest bronze tint to it. It normaly looks like it IS silver untill you parked next to a bright silver one then it is obvious the tint is there.

look in my readers rigs page, my truck is the light driftwood, i agree it can be filthy and stil look good, but when it is waxed it shines really nice.

My truck is intense blue, over driftwood. In my application, the driftwood picks up some of the blue, making it sort of a putty color.

i have a 2001 driftwood and its primarily silver, but not like the bright silver, its more darker. under like a sreetlight or sun mine hase a purple color to it, but ill say it never looks dirty unless there is mud splashed on it, it looks good with tinted windows,
